Hello,

We are very grateful for being invited to the Nationals.

We arrive on the 2nd at NYC and we are there until the 6th.

We take the train and we will arrive at Utica on the 6th in the afternoon. There is not any problem for playing immediately.

We will stay in Utica until the 12th.

We will be lodged in the hotel Radison.

On Monday the 7th if you want we can play 2 matches, if you want.

On Tuesday the 8th we would like to go to Niagara, because there is a player who has to take the plain the 9th.

We can play as many matches as you want.

If the National Team wants play more matches with us, any problem. For example one in the beginning of the championship and another at the end.

We will bring some small present of our city for the authorities the city of Utica.

Other questions

We are interested in other sports of first level. Is there any sport event during the days that we are in Utica we can go?(car races?)

If we want to go to Niagara Falls which options there are? Web sites to contact.

Which are the most interesting things in Utica? And near Utica?

We are very happy to be there.

Thank you

Hello Josep,
I have heard from Gus Lizano about your coming to our Nationals. I have been eagerly awaiting your e-mail. We will do our best to accomodate your wishes for scheduling of games. I have talked to the TEAM USA coach and he was wondering if you would mind playing TEAM USA 3 times. If yes, then we would do it on Monday Night, Wednesday Night, and Friday as the last game of the tournament that day.
The next question, is if you would want to play ALL of the Gold Division teams, in addition to the 3 games against TEAM USA? There will be probably between 6 and 8 teams in the Gold Division. That would mean your team would play maybe 2 games every day except for Tuesday. We can definitely give Tuesday off for your trip to Niagara Falls.
Do you already have your train tickets fom New York City to Utica? What time in the afternoon will you arrive in Utica? Are you OK with a game that night against a Gold Division team?
I will keep in touch with you. I will have some details for you about things to do while you are here in my next e-mail.
Bye for now, Bill

Hello Josep,

Been very busy. We're building a whole floor and the surrounding wall.

I see your picture. We will try to get a green that is close to that color shade.

You asked about the schedule. It just was released on Monday Night. If you go to hardballrollerhockey.com
you will then go to Nationals and click on schedule print. Your first
game is Sunday, July 6th at night. Then you have one on Monday Night.
(Monday during the day, you are going to the Soccer Hall of Fame.)
Tuesday you have no games because you are going to Niagara Falls.
Wednesday you have two games, one late morning and one at night.
Thursday you have two games, one late morning and one at night. Friday
you have two games, one early morning and one late afternoon.

You are playing TEAM USA your first game and your last game. The six
games in between the TEAM USA games will be against each of the Mens
teams in the Gold Division.

We have talked to the Mayor. We are arranging for this exchange of greetings and gifts.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your stay in New York City. We will see you soon. Bill

Hello Josep,

I can get all of your group into the building. The escorts
(non-players) will be given a special pass to get in the building.
Everyone else but your group must pay for these passes. Yours will be
no cost. I am renting the building, so I can do that. When you arrive
at the building, tell the ticket seller at the window your name. I will
have the special passes waiting for you there. You will have 10 players
and 12 non-players, right? Your players will get a special wrist-band.
They must wear this at all times to get in the building and to get to
the lower level to the lockers rooms and the playing floor.

As for the team entry fee, I didn't know the National Office would
charge a visiting team from another country that is only playing
exhibition games. I will try to find out about that. I know that all
the American teams are paying $500 (U.S.) dollars. I will ask if that
is the same for your team or if it can be waived.

I will e-mail you as soon as I have an answer. Bye for now, Bill

Hello,
I would want to ask you for a favor.
Have given that an inscription has to be paid for the Nationals. Also
that there is an entry-ticket for the escorts.
We spend 45.000$ that we pay ourselves.
It would be possible to have the free inscription and to have some
invitations for the escorts.
Thank you

Hello,
With us will travel a boy with his family to give ourselves support.
But this boy is a goalkeeper, has been born in 1995.
If there is any of the young teams that don't not have goalkeeper or wanted him to play with them, he can play.
If he can not, it's not any problem.
Thank you

Hello Josep,

 Good news and bad news.

First the good news. I finally got the National Office to agree that
your games are all exhibition and therefore your team should NOT have
to pay an entry fee. They confirmed that today, but I was not near my
computer until late tonight. SO NO FEE for you to pay.

Now the bad news. The offer for the young boy to play goalie for a
team in this tournament is a nice offer. However, there is a rule in
this country for our sport. Anyone who is not an American, cannot
participate in the National Championships unless they are living here
for at least 6 months before Nationals.

I don't agree with this rule. I have tried for many years now to get
this rule changed. My proposal has always been to forget about the
6-month residency. Instead, let any American team get any non-American
player or players to play. They can come over here just in time to play
with NO residency before Nationals. The only restriction should be that
there be a limit to the number of non-Americans a team may have. I say
allow 1 or 2 non-Americans on each team. But our National Office has
never agreed. I keep trying. But your young boy will have to be content
to just watch and not participate. Sorry.

See you soon, Bill
